"Well we do get most of our things from England..."
-Shopkeeper
The Wessex Gift Shop

Thank you to CIC Video for providing a video release of "Nightmare on the 13th Floor" in almost every language. The release of the film was a precedent. At the exact same time, all across the world (in each country's localized time), the USA Network telecast the film in sequential order. It was an incredible feat of electrical engineering and manpower that truly helped set the standards for worldwide telecasts used across the world today. And just as Paramount released the film onto VHS in the United States, CIC Video released the film onto VHS in almost every country it was originally televised in.

- Because of the time variances in speech patterns used in translating between cultures, certain phrases
take longer or take less time, to say. Because of this, and because of cultural differences in the editing
process, the international versions each vary in their runtimes. Because of this, certain shots, usually
scenes not pertinent to the plot, were removed, thus making the version slightly different than it's
Americanized counterpart. A complete listing of all differences will be added to this page as well as
interspersed throughout their appropriate pages in the walkthrough, as soon as it has been completed.

- While CIC Video was in charge of distributing 90% of the film's international versions, there are certain
exceptions to this rule. The copy from Argentina, for example, was distributed by "Argentina Video
Home" and the Japanese version was distributed by "CIC Victor Video".

- There are a lot of references to the film appearing on various incantations of the HBO Network. I am
   researching this.

- I am also in the process of breaking down the International Releases page, and give each version a
page (and hopefully in the future a mini-site) of it's own, identical to the Americanized site.

Identical to the Americanized version, this version was released in the United States, but subtitled with Spanish. This was for Spanish-speaking watchers to have a copy without having to buy a copy from Mexico.
