Like references in books, references in magazines are articles in periodicals, in which the film is mentioned. Right now only three are listed. Two entries can be found within the supermarket tabloid, "Weekly World News ", and the third can be found in "New York Magazine".

Michele Greene discovers Satanists in Nightmare on the 13th Floor (Wednesday, October 31; 9 to 11 P.M.; USA), and John Karlen doesn't believe her. She's a travel writer, he's a cop, and James Brolin is the doctor in the hotel where these Satanists ax their victims in a red room with a gas lamp, a stuffed animal, a skull, and some turn-of-the-century honky-tonk music. Louise Fletcher smokes, even in elevators. There's one very scary scene, when someone gets downstairs without using the elevator. There should have been more, in a Halloween movie.

Portrays: ?

It is currently not known for sure who exactly Christy Sandoval is. NOTTFO's guess is that she is either the woman with the rainbow scarf during Elaine's walk to the Convention Hall, the woman in pink that passes by J.J. McMahon in Seattle, Washington, or the female beachgoer in front of Elaine's house that has "to get the ball... Paul". All we know for sure is that she has been mentioned twice throughout the years, both times in the supermarket tabloid Weekly World News, and both times mentioning "Nightmare on the 13th Floor" in her list of credentials. The articles, and their captions, appear below:

Towel Anyone?

Curvy Christy Sandoval heads for the shower after working out as a cheerleader for the NFL's Los Angeles Raiders.

The Sandoval gal has appeared on Entertainment Tonight with the high-kicking Raiderettes, and her film credits include Sideout, Nightmare on the 13th Floor and Lame Ducks.

When Christy isn't rooting for her favorite football team, she's likely to be involved in some other high-stress aerobic action &emdash; like rocking on a David Lee Roth video or waterskiing.

Rah! Rah! Rah!

Curvy Christy Sandoval is a former Los Angeles Raiders cheerleader who made the leap to the silver screen in Nightmare on the 13th Floor and Lame Ducks. When she isn't strutting her stuff in front of the camera, the California cutie keeps her shape shipshape by swimming, biking and rollerblading.
